Course Description:

Interrelationships between Earth's atmosphere, hydrosphere, geosphere and biosphere through time; including patterns of evolution and extinction as they are related to changes at the earth's surface and recorded in the rock record. Laboratories cover major groups of fossils, their classification, use in biostratigraphy, and living analogues. NOTE: ESS261H1 and ESS262H1 may be taken in either order; and both are required for advanced courses.

Sessional Lecturer II: $10,510.04


Sessional Lecturer II, Long Term: $10,760.28

Sessional Lecturer III: $10,760.28


Sessional Lecturer III, Long Term: $11,030.36

Qualifications:

A Ph.D. in Earth Sciences or closely related discipline required. Knowledge of topic areas and experience teaching, mentoring and with communication are required.

Description of Duties:

The lecturer will be responsible for effectively delivering the course with all of the attendant organizational issues of lecture and tutorial preparation and delivery, supervising of teaching assistants, setting, supervision and marking of exams, final course marks, course evaluations and so forth.
