This course examines the impacts of the internet on environmental thinking and policy-making. Topics include the use of social media as a tool for community-building and collaborative design, the sharing economy, online protest movements, mass surveillance and its implications, and the impact of misinformation on climate denialism.

Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in relevant area of study or equivalent professional and/or academic experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant academic or professional publications and previous experience teaching a similar undergraduate course are highly desirable.
Description of Duties:
Develop a detailed syllabus and curriculum for the course
Teach the course in an in-person format
Evaluate student performance
Hold office hours and meet with students as they request
Manage teaching assistant(s)
Handle other pedagogical and administrative tasks ordinarily associated with teaching an undergraduate course
