Position Summary


The Paul J. Hill School of Business at the University of Regina invites applications for one Sessional Lecturer to teach the following in person course for a portion of the Fall 2025 semester.


BUS

306 - Ethics in Decision Making



This course introduces students to the principles and processes of ethical decision making in business. The course is designed to give students a strong conceptual and practical knowledge of ethics. Students will learn ethical principles and develop competence in applying sound ethical decision making processes within the context of organizations and their interaction with society.



This is a pro-rated Sessional Lecturer position to cover a leave who will teach from September 29 to December 5, 2025 with the final exam period running from December 9 to December 22, 2025. This course has 42 students enrolled and has an assigned Teaching Assistant.


Expectations for Sessional Lecturers include, but aren't limited to, the following:

Teaching course content that follows the course description, established learning objectives, and university academic guidelines; Delivering 75-minute lectures throughout the semester (unless otherwise discussed with the Associate Dean); Encouraging and maintaining a safe and collaborative classroom environment; Providing regular support to students on course work as required before and after each class, during office hours, and as required by students; Meeting all submission deadlines as outlined by the Hill School of Business; Consulting with the Associate Dean (Undergraduate Programs) on academic or student-related matters as needed; and Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:Graduate and/or PhD/doctorate degree in a discipline relevant to the course subject area (note that a bachelor's degree coupled with relevant professional business experience may also be considered); Superior communication skills (both written and verbal); Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with respect to academic reporting; and Recent teaching experience in a post-secondary environment considered an asset.
Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range As Per URFA Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours
This course is offered on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. The Sessional Lecturer is expected to teach on campus for lectures, be in the classroom 10-15 minutes before each class starts, as well as offer regular office hours for their students each week.
