The School of Computing offers a four-year Bachelor of Computer Information Systems degree and a Bachelor of Science with a Major in Computer Science. Additional options include a certificate, diploma, minor, and extended minor in Computer Information Systems, a minor in Computer Science, and a Coding Skills associate certificate. Co-op options are available for the diploma and bachelor's degree in computer information systems as well as the Bachelor of Science. The Coding Skills associate certificate includes a practicum.


We are seeking individuals who have a strong sense of collegiality and cultural competence, and an outstanding ability to teach and communicate effectively with undergraduate students, including in delivery of online and traditional courses across a range of computer information systems and computing science topics.


Candidates are required to have expertise in programming, and preference will be given to candidates who have a demonstrated interest and expertise in at least two of the following areas: networking, security, databases, data analysis, analysis and design of algorithms, cloud computing, web programming, web service orchestration, operating systems and real-time & systems programming. Other related expertise will be considered.



Qualifications

Applicants must have completed a Master's Degree in Computer Science or a closely related area. A PhD is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate successful teaching ability in the relevant subject area at the post-secondary level. Industry experience will also be an asset.

Candidates are required to submit an application package through the online portal including a cover letter, current CV including all post-secondary teaching experience, three references, and all teaching evaluations for the last three terms during which there was any teaching evaluation.
