Job Description


The Department of Pathology and Microbiology at the Atlantic Veterinary College, University of Prince Edward Island has an opening for a sessional instructor of veterinary virology during the upcoming Fall 2025 semester.
VPM 2110 Virology (3 Credits)
This is a required course in the second year of the DVM program presenting important viral pathogens of animals and offers a theoretical and practical basis for understanding the diseases they cause. The sessional instructor will be responsible for teaching two lecture hours and two tutorial hours per week, in person.
Lecture: Tuesday 8:30 - 9:20, Friday 9:30 - 10:20
Tutorial: Tuesday 2:30 - 4:20
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold an MSc or PhD in a field related to veterinary or comparative virology. Documented experience teaching similar courses and a DVM degree are assets. Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster and full-time and term contract Faculty members of the academic unit.
