Fall 2025 term Sessional Instructor

.



The successful candidate will have responsibilities for curriculum development and refinement and computing infrastructure design and refinement for the course. Lecture delivery and grading are not a part of this position's responsibility.



Specific duties include:



Improve the current course worksheet materials Write detailed instructions for how to run the course activities and list common questions students might have, with associated answers Create rubrics for grading the worksheets Update computer lab networking equipment to support course activities Develop a new course activity of current interest to students and industry

ISEC 603 - Network Security




Introduction to network security, with a focus on fundamental security concepts, explores the network stack and its related security concerns, and provides hands-on experience with tools like Wireshark. Topics covered may include TLS, VPNs, firewalls, web tracking, and honeypots.




Fall 2025 Term Dates:

Tuesday, September 2, 2025 - Friday, December 5, 2025



Qualifications:



The candidate should possess a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, with specialized expertise in network security. They should have a strong academic or professional background in cybersecurity, with a minimum of a master's degree. In addition, the candidate should have previous course development experience. The candidate should have a proven track record of research, publications, or hands-on experience in the field. Demonstrated experience with using and teaching wireshark, tcpdump, certbot, iptables, and honeypots is important.
