ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATION

The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach Fall 2023 ENTI 317 LEC 06.

ENTI 317 LEC 06 (Entrepreneurial Thinking)

• Fridays 11:00 - 13:45

Classes in the Fall 2023 semester run from September 5, 2023 to December 6, 2023.

Registrar Scheduled Exams will take place between Saturday, December 9, 2023 to Wednesday, December 20, 2023, if applicable.

Course Description

\xe2\x80\x9cLeaders in today\'s business environment are challenged to think entrepreneurially - to seek opportunities and find ways to turn opportunities into viable for-profit business ventures, social ventures or not-for-profit organizations. They are challenged to do more than just business; giving back to society is expected. The primary learning methodology is through a project in which an opportunity is identified, researched, and the results of a feasibility assessment are written and presented.\xe2\x80\x9d

Qualifications

• A graduate degree (MBA, MSc, DBA, or PhD) or work experience in a relevant field is required.
• Work experience relevant to the course is desirable.
• Previous post secondary teaching experience is a requirement.
• Understanding of core strategy and entrepreneurship frameworks is required.
• Experience teaching strategy or entrepreneurship courses is preferred.
• Experience with project-based courses is desirable.
