Job Description

The Department of History at the University of Prince Edward Island invites applications for a Sessional Instructor for the 2023 Fall Semester to teach HIST 2410. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.

Please note: the course offered below will be taught in person, unless otherwise specified as an online course.

HIST 2410 - American Survey I

This survey course in United States History begins with the Colonial period and concludes with an examination of the Civil War and Reconstruction. It covers a variety of topics in social, political, economic, diplomatic, military, and constitutional history.

Qualifications:

Successful applicants will have a graduate degree or a doctoral degree in European history.

Preference will be given to the qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster and full-time and term contract Faculty Members of the Academic unit.
