The Asian Studies (AST) Program ( ), Faculty of Arts, UPEI invites applications for a sessional teaching position during the Fall 2024 semester. We are seeking a qualified candidate to teach the following Korean Studies (KS) course:AST 2201: Korean Society and Culture (online)September 4-December 24, 2024 (expected enrolment 100)Calendar course description:This course presents the key themes and patterns of Korean society and culture: traditional and modern. Its topic coverage ranges from traditional beliefs, norms, customs, and values to contemporary education, ideas, ideologies, systems, lifestyles, women\'s roles, and other changes. The course also considers the impact of the modern West on the unity, transformation, and diversity of Korean society and culture.Qualifications:A doctoral (or master\'s) degree with undergraduate and/or graduate training in Korean or East Asian Studies (society, culture, history, education, or a related area). Applications with teaching experience in the same or related courses on these topics are preferred.
