at the University of Calgary invites applications for a

Sessional Instructor

to teach

BMEN 663 - Biosignals and Bioinstrumentation

in the Winter 2026 term. This will require some additional preparation work to be completed in December 2025. The course is scheduled to be delivered in-person.

Course Description:

Introduction to the electrocardiogram, electroencephalogram, electromyogram, and other diagnostic signals. Overview of computer techniques for processing and analysis of biomedical signals. Case studies from current applications and research.

Winter Term Course Schedule:

Lecture: Wednesday/Friday, 2-3:15pm

Qualifications:

Candidates must have an MSc (PhD preferred) in biomedical or electrical engineering with a focus on biomedical instrumentation and biomedical signal processing. Knowledge of and practical experience with acquisition and analysis of human biopotential signals will be a plus. Past teaching experience, preferably in a closely related course or courses will be a plus.
