Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a ServiceNow Solutions Architect/Banking who will provide strategic guidance ensuring technology teams and business areas understand architectural options and technology choices that account for total cost of ownership. The successful candidate will lead, design, and develop architecture frameworks, technology roadmaps, and associated plans, while advising on overall solution design. This individual will serve as a top technical expert, overseeing high-risk, complex initiatives, and providing expert consultation to deliver enterprise-grade solutions aligned with organizational strategy and standards.
Responsibilities

• Lead, design, and develop architecture frameworks, including technology domain strategies, policies, guiding principles, and standards.
• Develop enterprise or segment technology roadmaps and associated implementation plans.
• Review and approve/veto project blueprints based on alignment to enterprise standards.
• Provide expert consultation on overall solution design, system modifications, and technology choices.
• Define development specifications, technical requirements, and system performance objectives.
• Research and analyze business requirements to evaluate and recommend optimal solutions.
• Provide architectural oversight for high-risk and complex technology initiatives/projects.
• Influence vendors in product design through subject matter expertise; contribute to third-party negotiations where applicable.
• Build consensus across business leaders, IT professionals, vendors, and partners to ensure compliance with architectural frameworks.
• Ensure projects are compliant with domain architecture and oversee processes to review in-progress activities against standards.
• Identify and implement emerging IT trends, improvements, and solutions (buy/build/reuse).
• Conduct pre- and post-implementation reviews to ensure business requirements are met.
• Protect system security, availability, and integrity by assessing and mitigating technical risks.
• Continuously enhance knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive effective client solutions.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and knowledge transfer within the team and across business units.
• Support a positive, collaborative work environment that promotes innovation, teamwork, and operational excellence.
• Serve as the architectural specialist on high-profile, complex, or high-risk technology projects.

Desired Skill-Set

• 10+ years of ServiceNow experience (System Administrator, Developer, or ITSM Manager).
• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect with expertise in solution design.
• Certified ServiceNow System Administrator (CSA).
• Strong knowledge of database management.
• Solid understanding of network architecture and infrastructure.

Nice to Have

• Certified Technical Architect (CTA) designation.
• Previous banking industry experience.
• Consultancy background.
• Prior Bank experience.
