We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Service Writer to join our team. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department, ensuring a seamless experience for clients seeking automotive repairs and maintenance. Your expertise in customer service and mechanical knowledge will be essential in providing accurate information about services, upselling additional repairs, and fostering strong relationships with our clientele.

Responsibilities

Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their service needs. Accurately document customer concerns and vehicle issues for technicians. Provide detailed explanations of repair services and maintenance options to customers. Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle condition. Handle cash transactions, process payments, and maintain accurate records. Collaborate with mechanics to ensure timely service delivery and quality assurance. Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns. Maintain a clean and organized service area to enhance the customer experience.

Requirements

Proven experience in customer service, preferably in an automotive or dealership setting. Strong mechanical knowledge or background in automotive repair is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly. Experience with cash handling and processing transactions accurately. Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining customer trust. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well under pressure. Familiarity with automotive sales processes is a plus.
