Your Opportunity:As a Service Worker I, you may transport patients and equipment to and from different units as well as distribute and replenish hospital supplies throughout the units. You may also transport lab specimens, blood and blood products, and clean patient care equipment. You will report any concerns regarding supplies and safety issues to Unit Managers and perform other duties as required.Description:As a Service Worker I, you will be responsible for transporting patients (clients/residents) and equipment to and from different patient care areas within a hospital site. You will distribute and replenish hospital supplies throughout the units and clean equipment and patient care areas as directed. You may also transport lab specimens, blood and blood products, and patient charts. You will report any concerns regarding supplies and safety issues to Unit Managers and perform other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:Grade 12 or equivalent. Additional Required Qualifications:Able to recognize and maintain confidential information. Proven interpersonal skills and cooperative attitude. Ability to work as a team member required. Must demonstrate ability to work independently, have sound analytical reasoning, be a critical thinker, be self-directed, to problem solve and have exceptional organization skills. Required to be able to stand, walk, bend and transfer patients throughout a shift, must be able to move up to 50-75 pounds on a frequent basis. Integrates AHS missions and values in your work philosophy. Preferred Qualifications:This is a front-line position that supports a multidisciplinary team to ensure the flow of patients through labour and delivery. Recent Service Worker experience in an inpatient setting preferred.
