We are currently looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual for a full-time Service Technician position in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Service Technician will report to the Technical Service Supervisor, and will be responsible for the diagnostics, repair, preventative maintenance, calibration and assembly of welding machines, plasma cutters and other equipment in our Service Department. They will provide exceptional customer service support, both on-site with customers and in-house at our Winnipeg Branch. On-site work at times may require overnight stays for one or more nights. They will also be required to work in a variety of weather conditions, on occasion. The successful candidate can work both as part of a team, and individually to fulfill the different conditions our team handles.

As a Service Technician, you will:



Inspect, test and determine parts required for machinery to operate as intended. Repair, install parts and final test to confirm correct operation of machinery. Calibration check customer equipment to ensure it is within tolerance to standards. Perform preventative maintenance inspections to minimize the chance of unexpected downtime on customer machinery. Move equipment between storage and work area in a safe and effective manner using appropriate equipment. Be able to accurately enter detailed information in our service database. Provide great customer service which interacting with our customers in a clear and positive manner. Perform regular maintenance of the shop and warehouse areas (e.g., cleaning, organization, etc.) and perform other duties as assigned. Be willing to regularly attend manufacturing training courses to stay up to date on the latest trends in our field. Ideal candidate to have a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience (electrical, mechanical, electronics, or general industrial maintenance), formal training in electronics is considered an asset. Be familiar with welding equipment and having previous welding experience is an asset. Be willing to travel both domestically and internationally for work and training purposes. Hold a valid Class 5 Manitoba driver's license with clear driving abstract. Have computer experience using MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Access, Word). Be physically capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling weights of up to 75 lbs, as well as confident maneuvering equipment up to 1500 lbs (with proper lifting/pushing apparatus and techniques).
