A prairie-based pump distributor is looking for a Service Technician to join our team and help provide solutions to our customers' challenges.

About the Role:
In this position, you will work as a team with other service technicians and our Service Manager, doing what is needed to solve the customers pump and system challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take initiative to solve problems creatively and drive business growth.
• Provide accurate, reliable and profitable estimates for the repair or replacement of customer equipment and components.
• Assure assembly / performance of all new equipment and related components.
• Order and record all components and shop supplies required for service orders.
• Assure that all work orders are completed, and that labor and components are properly recorded.
• Work closely with the sales department to assure all required components are ordered.
• Assure that all workings of the service department are performed as promised at the highest quality.
• Ensure projects are completed with attention to detail and exceeding customer expectations.
• Assist in improving procedures for the service department.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform building maintenance as required.
• Maintain up-to-date technical training.
• Travel as needed to support customer and business requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Must maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must be available to travel on short notice.
• Must maintain personal safety protection equipment.

What We're Looking For:

• Pump repair experience: Preferred.
• Mechanical expertise: 3+ years preferred.
• Proficiency with computers, including Office 365 and ERP systems.
• Strong customer service and communication skills (fluent in English, written and spoken).
• Detail-oriented with excellent time management and multitasking capabilities.
• Intrinsically motivated with a solid work ethic and openness to change.
• Willingness to take initiative, learn, and grow professionally.
• Basic business understanding and a creative problem-solver mindset.
• Experience in machining or welding is an asset.
• Valid driver's license required.
• A team player with a positive mindset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
