About the opportunity
Hours: Monday – Friday 8pm -5pm
The Service Technician (ST) is our frontline technical support person. You will be responsible for initial triage for all client support requests. ST is a great starting point for those beginning their career in the IT industry, as you will come across all kinds of technology in various configurations.

Clients can reach ST’s through various methods including email, chat and phone. The ST role is responsible for monitoring and communicating with clients on all platforms through the ticketing system. The daily workload is determined by the support requests from our clients. Some requests can be resolved remotely, and some will require you to go onsite and meet with the client directly.
Our ideal candidate has a passion for IT and has recently had some experience and education in Information Technology. Their personality is warm and friendly with a solutions-oriented mindset.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Supply exceptional IT service on all supported communication platforms
  • Document new and changing systems and processes
  • Self-education through workshops, certifications, job shadowing and research
  • Client onsite support
  • Following existing documentation to complete standard tasks
  • Resolve and escalate service requests

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2 Years IT support or education or combination of both
  • 1 Year customer service
  • Class 5/7 Driver’s license or the ability to obtain a drivers license within 90 days of employment
  • Successful completion of Criminal Background Check
  • Legally allowed to work in Canada
  • Ability to come to the office and go to client sites at irregular intervals
  • Clean driving record and ability to produce a drivers abstract and claims history letter
  • Ability to successfully complete random drug and alcohol screening
