POSITION SUMMARY:
The Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of coffee machines, and performing routine maintenance and repairs on coffee plant equipment, including roasters, grinders, conveyors, and packaging machines, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. The coordinator troubleshoots issues, coordinates service appointments, and maintains accurate service records. Strong technical skills, customer service abilities, and communication are essential for success in this position.
ROLE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install, service, and repair coffee machine on-site and in-house.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on coffee plant equipment, including roasters, grinders, conveyors, and packaging machines, to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on production equipment and implement effective solutions promptly.
Calibrate and adjust roasters and packaging equipment to ensure product consistency and quality control.
Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and internal maintenance schedules.
Work with the sales team and customers, addressing technical inquiries and providing product training.
Coordinate and schedule service calls and preventative maintenance.
Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues to ensure minimal downtime.
Maintain accurate records of service activities and customer interactions.
Ensure a high-level pf customer satisfaction through timely and effective service delivery.
Assist the sales team in handling customer inquiries in a timely manner.
Respond to customer complaints and provide after-sales support upon request.
Coordinate product demonstrations, training sessions and technical presentations for customers, as required.
Print customer orders and ship product as needed.
Identify trends, patterns and opportunities for improvement based on customer feedback and sales data.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION:
Proven experience in a technical service or field service role, preferably with coffee or food service equipment.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Experience setting-up and repairing residential and commercial coffee machines.
Valid driver's license, with a clean driving record, and willingness to travel as needed.
Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs. without assistance.
Professional with a customer focused approach.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
Ability to work well under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
Bilingual in both French and English
Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
