Overview

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of communication networks, alarm systems, security setups (CCTV, IP networking, access control), and custom AV integrations. You'll also support smart home automation projects and work closely with clients to ensure timely, high-quality service delivery.

Responsibilities:

Assist in running various types of wiring, including Cat 5E, Cat 6, Cat6A, Cat7, and Fibre Support with cable termination, testing, and troubleshooting Maintain basic familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in installations Follow instructions and safety protocols on job sites Support senior technicians with on-site and in-office tasks as needed Assist with the setup and installation of custom audio video systems, voice/data cabling, alarm, access control and as well as smart home automation systems. Ensure all systems are operating efficiently and maintain accurate records of installations and service visits. Follow all safety protocols and company standards during installations and repairs.

Requirements:

Valid G Class driver's license with a clean driver's abstract Must be bondable (eligible for background clearance) Reliable and positive team player with strong customer service skills Comfortable working at heights and operating around ladders Ability to commute to and from the office and job sites reliably Proven experience as a technician or in a similar technical field preferred. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset.

Preferred Experience:

1 year of experience as a cable technician or in a similar role (preferred) High school diploma required. Fluent in English (spoken and written)

License/Certification:

Valid Driver's License (required)

Starting at $17.60 to $20.00 per hour, based on experience.
