Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong installation background and have experience in various service areas including hardwood, LVP, tile and carpet. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and repairing flooring, ensuring the best quality for our clients. The Service Technician will work both independently and collaboratively in the field, providing exceptional service and maintaining high standards of quality.

Responsibilities

Inspect installations to identify areas that need repairs, such as scratches, dents, or damage. Conduct routine inspections on company installations and report to management for areas of opportunity across all installation crews / department. Assess incoming claims and execute a repair or replacement of defective flooring. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding service needs and recommendations. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on each job. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing all tasks in the field. Collaborate with team members on larger projects or complex repairs as needed.

Skills

Proven experience as a flooring installer or similar role in construction or property maintenance. Strong technical knowledge on flooring install best practices. Ability to read work orders and construction drawings for troubleshooting purposes. Proficient in the use of installation tools required for all types of flooring. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
