The Client

Our client, RF Bakery Equipment (www.rfbakery.com), is well respected and long established in the food equipment sales and service business. On their behalf, we are seeking an experienced Service Technician to grow their services team.

The Role

The Service Technician is a client facing role which will require the successful candidate to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in addition to the technical skills required. The role will largely be responsible to provide general electrical and mechanical service repair on bakery equipment. General metal work skills including welding, blueprinted fabrication and repair are strong asset in this position.

Key Requirements

Advanced problem-solving skills in diagnosing electrical and mechanical machinery malfunctions.

Advanced ability to repair bakery related equipment or food equipment is a strong asset.

Good set of hand tools.

Valid British Columbia drivers license.

Ability to travel to client sites as required.

Job Responsibilities

Perform general mechanical and electrical service repair and maintenance on bakery or food processing equipment.

Advanced ability in analyzing equipment malfunction and plan required repairs.

Experience working on client site as well as in shop.

Ability to work under management or customer direction.

Experience estimating repair costs and materials.

Maintain a clean and well-organized workshop.

Maintenance of shop equipment and tools.

Maintain appropriate inventory of shop supplies.

Personal Characteristics:

Positive attitude.

Strong customer service orientation.

Excellent work ethic.

Fluency in English, both verbal and written.

Aptitude for accuracy and attention to detail.

Well organized with an ability to prioritize.

Show initiative in bringing new ideas and suggestions to service systems and processes.

Must be able to demonstrate team player orientation.

Pay: $34.00-$43.00 per hour
