Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and reliable
Service Technician
to join our
Mobility
team.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering and servicing a range of home medical equipment and devices to our clients. This includes but is not limited to bath and home safety equipment, hospital beds, mobility aids, and more. You will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is properly installed, maintained, and repaired as needed to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver, install, and set up a variety of home medical equipment and devices for clients across our service area: Halton, Hamilton, Brantford, Haldimand, Kitchener, and Niagara.
Perform routine maintenance, repair, cleaning, and replacement of equipment components and parts as needed.
Conduct inspections of equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Document all service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
Organize and identify parts required for repairs and stock replenishment.
Receive and record inventory and shipments, verify accuracy against purchase orders and delivery receipts.
Prepare and organize items to go out on delivery.
Manage waste disposal.
Maintain excellent cleanliness and organization of the Mobility service and office area.
Promote and participate in maintaining a healthy, safe and inclusive work environment.
Adhere to all confidentiality and privacy requirements.
Provide support to the Mobility Sales Manager, Mobility Specialists and other departments with duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in delivery, installation, and maintenance of medical equipment strongly preferred.
The right candidate must be punctual and mobile as your days will be spent traveling to different sites and client homes in the area by appointment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Empathetic spirit and must be able to accommodate customers' needs and circumstances.
Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Valid G class driver's license and a clean driving and insurance record is required.
Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50lbs) and perform physical tasks as required.
Availability to work Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. This position reports to our head office location at 672 Brant St. in Burlington and may require regular shifts at our partner location at 222 Fairview Dr. in Brantford.
