Summary



We are seeking a motivated Service Technician to join our Automated Gates Division. The ideal candidate has a mix of electrical and mechanical aptitude, enjoys hands-on work, and is eager to learn and grow within a dynamic technical team.

Responsibilities



Perform scheduled service calls and preventative maintenance on equipment at commercial, industrial, and residential sites across the Lower Mainland using a company vehicle On-site troubleshooting and repairs to the customers' equipment; referencing manuals and historical documentation where applicable Complete documentation of issue(s) found, resolution notes, follow-up quote scope, parts used, recommended preventative repairs, etc for the office and customer Collaborate with senior technicians and office staff for issues that cannot be resolved successfully in the field Participate in after hours on-call service program rotation Assist the team with installations, large repair jobs and shop work as required Operate and maintain company provided vehicle, power tools and other electronic equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures Communicate with customers and site contacts as required via phone, email, and face to face

Must-Haves



Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License and clean driving record Acceptable pre-employment criminal background check Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with a drive to learn Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Comfortable working independently or in a team environment Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform hands-on field work in outdoor and indoor environments Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check

Nice-To-Haves



1-3 years of related experience in mechanical or electrical field Formal education in mechanical, electrical or related field Level 1 Occupational First Aid Certificate Ability to obtain formal security or government clearances

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
