Responsibilities

Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Bus Services, the Service Supervisor is responsible for assigning vehicles to scheduled and non-scheduled runs including arranging parking by vehicle and track number and coordinating scheduling and other changes with various units in the organization. Advises Depot Office of the unavailability of vehicles so that runs can be cancelled or precancelled. Supervises the servicing of fleet vehicles including planning and scheduling work to be performed, directing shift staff who wash, refuel, sweep, dust, flush and pre-trip vehicles, and performing spot checks on serviced vehicles. Ensures that safe work practices are maintained. Monitors and maintains yard property, contacting Building Maintenance or Security when necessary. Checks time sheets and completes shift servicing records.


Qualifications

EDUCATION:



High school graduation plus a course in supervisory techniques.



EXPERIENCE:



Job requires two (2) years of previous experience in a commercial vehicle servicing or operation capacity to gain a broad general knowledge regarding vehicle service requirements, scheduling techniques, etc. Minimum of up to one (1) year in the position to become familiar with the CMBC Organization, service runs, supervisory and shift responsibilities, safety and servicing standards, and applicable sections of union agreements.

Salary 85,836 - $103,417 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
