Service Supervisor, Eastern Canada

Laval, QC, Canada

Job Description

Steer the success of a fast-paced technical service operation where customers count on you for rapid, reliable solutions. This leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives at the crossroads of hands-on mechanical expertise, customer interaction, team coordination, and operational oversight. You will guide a talented group of technicians across Eastern Canada while ensuring that every service experience leaves customers feeling supported, confident and eager to partner again.
As the central point of contact for all maintenance and repair activity, you will be the person who evaluates incoming equipment, prioritizes service needs, and distributes work in a way that delivers quality results within expected timelines. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to align service schedules, manage resources, uphold procedures, participate in budgeting, and maintain the smooth flow of day-to-day department operations.
This is a role where sound judgment, organization, and calm problem-solving are essential. You keep the shop running efficiently, the team aligned and supported, and customers feeling heard, respected and well served.
Position Description
Operational Coordination
You will oversee all daily service activity, ensuring that the workshop operates safely, efficiently and in a clean, well-organized manner. You will assess incoming equipment, determine customer needs, outline repair approaches, and ensure all work is carried out to high standards. You will verify completed work, confirm procedural compliance and uphold service quality expectations throughout the department.
Customer Support and Technical Guidance
You will take incoming service calls from existing and prospective customers, offer reliable technical support, and respond quickly when urgent service is required. Your expertise and ability to troubleshoot effectively will create confidence and reinforce the company's reputation for dependable after-sales support.
Scheduling and Service Delivery
You will coordinate service calls, both planned and emergency based, working around the availability and strengths of field technicians. You will support service contract scheduling, track progress and ensure timely completion. On occasion, you may personally visit customer sites to help resolve complex or time-sensitive issues.
Inventory and Administration
You will collaborate with inventory personnel to maintain proper stock levels and support shipping and receiving activities. You will contribute to budget planning alongside senior leadership and help ensure department goals and monthly revenue targets remain on track.
Team Leadership
You will supervise all service department employees, ensuring the team understands expectations, follows established procedures, and remains aligned with company goals. You will manage absences and vacation scheduling, conduct performance evaluations, provide ongoing coaching and feedback, and maintain a positive, unified culture. Your leadership ensures continuity of operations and encourages a high level of accountability and pride in workmanship.
Continuous Improvement
You will identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience, streamline internal processes, and strengthen the efficiency of the service operation. Additional duties may be assigned periodically to support broader departmental objectives.
