Position Summary:


We are seeking a highly motivated

Service Specialist

to support our laboratory operations and client engagement efforts. This role combines technical understanding with exceptional communication and service delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in a laboratory setting (preferably microbiology or chemistry), strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to assist with client-facing activities including business development outreach.

Key Responsibilities:



Act as the frontline liaison for clients, providing support on service inquiries, sample coordination, and testing logistics. Assist with the preparation of client documentation, including quotes, service agreements, and chain of custody forms. Ensure timely communication of test results and coordinate follow-up as needed. Collaborate with laboratory and quality assurance teams to ensure accurate and compliant service delivery. Support the Business Development Manager with outreach initiatives, including: Following up with potential leads and existing clients. Assisting with proposal development and market research. Participating in client meetings and trade events as needed. Maintain a detailed understanding of PBR's testing capabilities to confidently communicate solutions to clients. Help streamline client service processes and contribute to internal service training.

Qualifications:



2+ years of experience in an analytical laboratory environment, ideally in microbiology or chemistry. Demonstrated experience in customer service or client support roles. Strong communication and organizational skills. Post-secondary education in a scientific discipline (BSc in Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field preferred). Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 lab practices is an asset. Confidence in multitasking and using CRM or LIMS software is advantageous.
