We're expanding our team and seeking a motivated Shop Labourer to join our team.

The Shop Labourer plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe and efficient work environment within our dealership. This position involves a variety of hands-on tasks, including shop cleaning, truck washing, routine maintenance and much more. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and physically capable of labour-intensive tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Performing general shop cleaning to ensure a safe and organized workspace. Washing and detailing heavy-duty trucks to maintain their appearance and condition. Conducting routine shop maintenance tasks, such as minor repairs and upkeep of equipment. Assisting with light mechanic work under the guidance of experienced technicians. Running errands to pick up parts and supplies as needed. Handling yard work and maintaining outdoor areas. Cleaning washrooms and locker rooms to uphold high standards of hygiene.
Requirements:

- Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license (clean driving abstract preferred).

- Previous experience in a shop or maintenance role is an asset, but not required--training will be provided.

Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to lift heavy objects, bending, and stand for extended periods. Availability for full-time hours, including some weekends if needed. Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and equipment necessary for daily tasks. Perform vehicle maintenance to ensure all machinery is in optimal working condition. Utilize an ohmmeter for electrical testing and troubleshooting as needed. Assist in the assembly, installation, or repair of structures and equipment. Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment at all times. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to specifications.

Requirements



Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools. Familiarity with vehicle maintenance practices is preferred. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics for equipment operation. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing work environments. Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks, including lifting heavy objects when necessary.
