SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE (BUSINESS SALES)

Location: Regina, Yorkton, Estevan, Saskatchewan
Position Type: Casual Part-Time

Salary: $26.19 - $35.32/hour

POSITION OVERVIEW

Represents SaskTel for customer contacts in a complex business environment. Determines customer needs and requirements; recommends solutions; sale of products and/ or services; account management, and handles customer inquiries. Completes internal work and procedures to ensure customer requirements are met or exceeded.

TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
(Not all inclusive or applicable to all assignments)

1. Determines customer needs and requirements in a competitive environment. Initiates/prepares sales proposals and recommends optimum service solutions to the customer. Utilizes support personnel as required.
2. Sells products and/or services on an initiated and/or demand basis. Participates in sales campaigns on an initiated and/or demand basis. Deals with customers for the purpose of retail sales, wholesale sales, trade shows and equipment demonstrations, visiting customer premises as required.
3. As prime customer contact, responds to inquiries/ complaints and resolves disputes.
4. Works in conjunction with other Telcos or Mobility Canada regarding National accounts. Implements National Billing plans for customers.
5. Prepares or arranges for the completion of legal contracts, forms and credit applications. Assigns customer credit ratings. Negotiates with customers for security arrangements.
6. Completes usage analysis studies and makes recommendations to optimize account plans.
7. Initiates/prepares associated forms (i.e. service orders, etc.) for personal sales activity and those referred from other sales channels. Activates services and/or features on real time basis. Reviews service orders and associated forms for accuracy.
8. Maintains related reports and updates mechanized and/ or manual systems.
9. Provides input to revenue and equipment forecasts and assists in setting sales and revenue objectives.
10. Assists Sales Associates, Sales Coordinators, Account Reps, Account Executives, other internal departments and External Dealer Channels as required.
11. Treats customer accounts to minimize revenue losses, handling legal issues when necessary. Negotiates with customers for adjustments and extensions of credit to their accounts. Handles cash and payments as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Working knowledge and ability to demonstrate techniques needed to persuasively promote the sale of complex Business products and/or services.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Demonstrated ability to handle customer contacts with tact, diplomacy and courtesy at all times, particularly when handling complaints and resolving disputes.
4. Working knowledge of SaskTel products and services.
5. General knowledge of:
a) SaskTel Business Sales products and services (wireline and wireless)
b) Wholesale products and services.
c) IP & Cloud based services and Convergence & Hosted Applications.
6. Good analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
7. Working knowledge of personal computers and various software applications.
8. Working knowledge of applicable systems used in daily job functions.
9. Good multi-tasking skills.
10. Successful completion of prescribed training courses.
11. Keyboarding skills 20 wpm.

Hours of Work

This is classified as a casual - part time position which means that SaskTel cannot guarantee a set number of hours per week. Our Service Representatives currently average approximately 30-35 hours per week but this can vary and is based on business needs.The hours of operation are Monday to Friday (8:00am \xe2\x80\x93 5:00pm).

This is a unionized position and you will become a member of Unifor once you commence employment. Positions that are of a more permanent nature (permanent part-time, permanent full-time) are awarded based on seniority and qualifications.
