The Role



As a Foreperson, you will oversee field operations on mechanical and plumbing job sites throughout the Lower Mainland. You'll be responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality work while keeping the project on schedule and within budget. Just as importantly, you'll mentor and support a team of plumbers and apprentices, setting the tone for excellence on site.

You'll work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to coordinate labor, materials, and timelines. Your role will be hands-on--you'll lead by example and take pride in building teams that work well together.

Responsibilities



Lead and supervise a crew of journeypersons and apprentices on mechanical and plumbing projects Perform hands-on installation and troubleshooting when needed Plan and schedule work effectively to meet project timelines Read and interpret blueprints, specs, and submittal packages Coordinate with the office team on materials and equipment delivery Ensure that job sites are safe, clean, and organized Enforce safety procedures and ensure work complies with codes and regulations Provide mentorship and training to junior team members Monitor subcontractors and report progress to project leadership Identify and solve problems before they escalate Track site activities and support billing and documentation processes

Qualifications



Red Seal Certification as a Plumber (required) 3-5+ years of leadership experience in plumbing/mechanical construction Strong working knowledge of mechanical drawings and building code Experience coordinating teams on busy job sites Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.) Able to plan work weeks in advance and pivot when necessary Excellent communication and organizational skills Reliable, respectful, and capable of representing the company well on-site Comfortable mentoring apprentices and guiding them toward excellence Must have legal entitlement to work in Canada Canadian experience in plumbing/mechanical supervision is required

Pay: $45.00-$60.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
