Job Summary:
The Licensed Plumber will take on a lead role in delivering high-quality mechanical and plumbing work across commercial, industrial, institutional, and mining-sector environments in Northern Ontario. This position is intended for an experienced tradesperson who can work with minimal supervision, interpret complex project requirements, support planning and execution, and ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest industry standards. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and other trades.
Key Responsibilities:
Read, interpret, create, and maintain drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Install, maintain, and service air conditioning equipment, steam systems, and hot-water heating systems.
Repair and install piping systems, fixtures, fittings, valves, hangers, and supports.
Clean out drains and clear obstructions in waste, vent, and sewage systems.
Safely operate pipe cutters, reamers, threading machines, and other plumbing tools and equipment.
Ensure all work meets applicable codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
Maintain accurate documentation for all work performed.
Work independently or as part of a crew while adhering to established safety practices.
Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Valid Ontario driver's license.
Valid and up-to-date
Ontario Certificate of Qualification (306A - Plumber)
.
Strong knowledge of plumbing methods, materials, tools, and equipment.
Solid understanding of current plumbing codes and applicable standards.
Awareness of hazards associated with plumbing work and appropriate safety precautions.
Strong communication skills considered an asset.
