Service Technician - Plumbing & Mechanical Systems

JJM Mechanical Group Ltd. is actively seeking skilled and motivated

Service Technicians

to join our dynamic and growing team. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong mechanical background, a solid understanding of building systems, and a passion for troubleshooting and solving complex mechanical challenges in service and retrofit environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose, service, and recommend solutions for mechanical equipment such as boilers, cooling towers, tankless water heaters, pumps, and sump systems in residential, commercial, and institutional settings Perform service calls, preventative maintenance, and retrofit installations with accuracy and attention to detail Identify equipment issues and provide clear, effective repair recommendations Maintain thorough job documentation, including detailed service notes and accurate equipment information Communicate professionally with clients and internal teams regarding site conditions and service updates Utilize mobile app technology for work orders, time tracking, and job reporting Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (approximately one weekday every six weeks)
Qualifications:

Red Seal Certified Plumber (required)

Strong knowledge of current plumbing codes and industry standards Proven experience assessing, troubleshooting, and maintaining commercial mechanical systems Hands-on experience with heating, hydronic, and plumbing equipment diagnostics Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Personal hand tools required (company provides power tools) Cross Connection Control Certification is an asset Strong communication skills, professional attitude, and commitment to quality workmanship
