We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Service Manager to lead our automotive service department. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and drive sales through effective upselling and team leadership. This role requires a strong background in automotive repair, dealership experience, and excellent management skills to maintain high standards of service quality and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, workflow, and staff supervision
Ensure all automotive repairs and services meet quality standards and customer expectations
Lead and motivate a team of technicians and service advisors to achieve performance goals
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction
Upsell additional services or repairs to maximize revenue opportunities while maintaining integrity
Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper documentation for all financial activities
Monitor inventory levels for parts and supplies, coordinating with vendors as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with industry regulations
Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and customer retention
Skills
Dealership experience is highly preferred, with a strong understanding of automotive sales processes
Proven mechanic experience or mechanical knowledge to effectively communicate with technicians and understand repair procedures
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle difficult situations professionally
Strong sales acumen with experience in upselling services or products to customers
Proficiency in cash handling and financial transactions with attention to accuracy
Leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team, manage conflicts, and foster a positive work environment
Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Knowledge of automotive repair procedures, industry standards, and safety regulations
