The Opportunity
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Service Manager will provide leadership to the Service Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. By fostering a safe and productive work environment, you'll drive team performance, streamline operations, and contribute to our company's success.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Relations:
Act as the principal point of contact for customer inquiries and concerns.
Provide technical advice and create service estimates to meet customer needs.
Oversee the invoicing process and explain completed work to customers.
Team Leadership:
Hire, train, and retain talented staff.
Supervise team members, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance.
Promote a positive and safe work environment.
Service Operations:
Manage daily operations, including prioritizing and assigning work orders.
Ensure quality repairs and adherence to company service standards.
Assist with accounts receivable processes and ensure timely follow-ups.
Required Education, Experience, & Expertise
High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience.
5+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in service management.
Strong background in service operations and team leadership in a busy environment.
Mechanical knowledge: experience in forestry or construction industries is a valuable asset.
Proficiency in MS Office and related systems.
Adaptability in changing priorities and a readiness to work evenings, weekends, and occasional travel.
