Service Manager

As a Service Manager at Transportation Equipment Network (TEN), you're responsible for running an efficient and profitable service center. In this crucial role, you'll manage a team of technicians, coordinate maintenance schedules, and ensure all equipment meets strict safety and operational standards. You will also interact with customers, address their needs, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the service center.

Specific responsibilities include:




Lead and supervise the Service Department team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. Review, prioritize, and approve repair and maintenance work orders to ensure accuracy and timely completion. Drive shop performance by meeting productivity, quality, and profitability targets. Ensure compliance with company Core Values, policies, and safety regulations at all times. Manage shop resources, including tools, equipment, parts inventory, and vendor relationships. Oversee preventive maintenance programs for trailers, service vehicles, and equipment to maximize reliability. Develop and coach team members to improve technical skills, productivity, and overall performance. Partner with Operations and management to resolve issues, improve processes, and enhance customer service delivery

Qualifications:




5+ years of experience in a shop at a leadership/management level Knowledge of Heavy Equipment, with Certificate of Qualifications in Trailer Repairs. 310J license is an asset Proven management experience and have strong scheduling and organization abilities Ability to motivate and mentor, create a positive teamwork environment Ability to anticipate and deal with future problems and opportunities Ability to develop and implement continuous process improvement Experience with managing a robust safety program
