We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Service Manager to lead our heavy equipment service department with enthusiasm and expertise. Duties
Lead and motivate the service team, to achieve departmental goals and uphold high standards of quality and customer satisfaction
Oversee daily shop operations, ensuring efficient workflow, timely machine repairs, and adherence to safety protocols
Conduct equipment diagnostics to accurately identify issues and recommend appropriate solutions
Upsell additional services and repairs by effectively communicating benefits to customers while maintaining transparency
Handle estimating and service writing to prepare accurate repair orders and cost estimates
Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed during transactions
Maintain detailed records of all service activities, parts used, and customer interactions
Foster strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional service experiences and addressing concerns promptly
Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and manufacturer specifications to ensure compliance and quality standards
Qualifications
Proven experience in dealership or equipment service management with a strong background in repair shop operations
Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems
Demonstrated customer service ability, maintaining integrity and customer trust
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team towards achieving operational excellence
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building long-term client relationships
Mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on mechanic experience or technician background is highly desirable
Familiarity with dealership sales processes including equipment sales is an advantage
