Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of the dealership service department, including operational performance, operational & maintenance costs, the safety of operation, plus compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Directs procurement of all types of company-owned-and-operated automotive equipment, materials, supplies, and also parts required to maintain automotive equipment, garages, and storage facilities.
Assist in problem-solving, and diagnosing vehicle problems.
Work with the manufacturer when needed.
Prepare reports both for staff and management tracking departmental performance, as well as monthly forecasting
Assist Service Advisors with customers when needed.
Schedule staff to cover the hours of the department.
Oversee hiring, training, supervising, and coaching of service department employees.
Qualifications
3 years of previous Dealership Service Advisor or Service Management experience is required.
Previous experience leading a team of 10-20 staff is required.
Review and analyze actions regularly to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively.
Constant refinement of process to be more efficient in all aspects of service
Possess a strong aptitude for technical/mechanical repairs.
Be a champion for delivering excellent service 100% of the time.
