We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Director to oversee our service department at a busy automotive dealership. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of automotive repair, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As the Service Director, you will be responsible for ensuring that our team operates efficiently while delivering high-quality service to our customers.
Duties
Manage daily operations of the service department, ensuring all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Supervise and train service staff, including mechanics and customer service representatives.
Oversee the scheduling of appointments and ensure timely completion of services.
Handle customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and care, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Promote services and products to enhance customer experience and increase revenue.
Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and cash handling procedures.
Collaborate with sales teams to provide seamless service experiences for customers.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and dealership policies.
Requirements
Proven experience in a dealership environment or as a mechanic is preferred.
Strong background in automotive repair with mechanical knowledge is an asset.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly.
Experience in cash handling and financial transactions is required.
Ability to effectively promote services while maintaining customer trust.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing schedules and records.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for interacting with customers and staff alike.
Salary/pay could be more of a range depending on experience.
