About this opportunity:




This exciting Calgary and Field office hands-on position reports to the Service Desk Supervisor and is responsible for providing desktop and IS Infrastructure troubleshooting support for fast paced field operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to frequently visit multiple field sites, providing hands-on IT support in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will have the chance to engage directly with field operations, ensuring seamless technology integration and resolving technical issues promptly to support our teams' success.

If you are an intermediate to senior resource with 5-10 years of experience looking for an opportunity to use your deep desktop/field knowledge to support fast-paced Field Operations, looking to grow your desktop and IS Infrastructure skills working in a high performing team to implement and support future technologies, this opportunity is for you.

Job Functions / Responsibilities:



Provide deskside and field infrastructure support to field staff in areas such as configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of + End user workstation hardware (laptops, desktops)
+ Software (Microsoft M365 and business applications)
+ Peripherals (printers, MS Teams cameras, headsets etc.)
Work with the IS Infrastructure group to troubleshoot complex issues and replace field site hardware included networking (switches, routers, cabling) and server hardware (servers, storage) Create end-user documentation and facilitate corporate learning for the enterprise information management tools Collaborate with various operating units to assist with identification of business requirements and selection of applicable enterprise information tools Diagnose and resolve problems associated with software and operating systems; determine the source of issues and classify them based on priority level and urgency Document incidents in the ticket management system and escalate issues to the IS team, as required

Required Skills & Qualifications:



Post secondary education with a minimum 5 to 10 years of Desktop and IS Infrastructure support experience Experience in imaging, provisioning, and troubleshooting desktop hardware including laptops and desktops Experience in traveling and providing onsite, remote desktop and IS Infrastructure support at field sites in Alberta Experience providing Windows 10 desktop and environment support. Windows 11 support experience is an asset Experience supporting and troubleshooting meeting room technologies includes Crestron and Yealink Teams kits Upstream Oil & Gas Service Desk experience would be a distinct advantage. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diversified teams. Naturally collaborative positive attitude, with a customer service focus Effective interpersonal and communications skills, particularly being able to communicate complex topics into simple terms Currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Calgary area and eligible to work in Canada Valid Class 5 Driver's License Willing to spend approximately 25 to 50% of your time travelling to field locations
