Overview

We're looking for proficient, highly-organized administrative support people to provide a range of services and assistance to injured workers and our case management, special care services, and vocational rehabilitation services teams. As a service coordinator, you'll use your initiative and problem-solving skills to be the administrative focal point for claims supported by various teams in our Richmond office. In this role, you'll rely on your interpersonal skills to build report with injured workers and team members while providing courteous, empathetic, knowledgeable, and prompt service to clients and service providers.

What you'll do

As a service coordinator you will:

  • Maintain ongoing contact with injured workers by managing various payments, scheduling appointments, and obtaining claims-related information
  • Ensure the case management team is updated with claim-related information and issues to be resolved
  • Proactively manage administrative matters pertaining to each claim
  • Prepare correspondence and perform other related clerical and support duties as required

  • Independently problem solve and analyze facts to make sound decisions that reflect policy, procedures, and guidelines, while exhibiting sound judgment, discretion, and accountability for the decisions being made
  • Maintain a high level of customer service
  • Manage a high volume of work with tight timelines
  • Communicate tactfully and clearly to relate detailed and complex information both verbally and in writing
  • Create strong working relationships with a team as well as establish professional relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Read and comprehend claim file information
Your experience and educational background:
  • Grade 12 (post-secondary education is preferred)
  • A minimum of one year of recent administrative office experience including providing customer service to internal and external clients
  • Must type a minimum of 35 words per minute
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to perform accurate math calculations
