Overview of the Position:
We are seeking a results-driven Service Contract Sales Representative to drive power generation service sales and expand market presence. This role focuses on developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, promoting maintenance and repair services, and deliver tailored aftermarket solutions. This position requires a proactive approach to sales strategic initiative development, and the ability to identify and capitalize on service opportunities. The Aftermarket Sales Representative will work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery, customer satisfaction, and long-term business success.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain relationships with customers in the power generation industry, including fleet operators, construction companies, and industrial clients
Promote and sell aftermarket services, including preventive maintenance programs, repairs, rebuilds, and extended service plans
Identify customer needs and recommend service solutions to enhance equipment performance and longevity
Work closely with the service department to ensure timely scheduling and execution of maintenance and repair work
Provide customers with accurate quotes, service agreements, and follow-up support to drive sales and retention
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to adjust sales strategies accordingly
Conduct site visits, equipment inspections, and service audits to identify potential opportunities for aftermarket sales
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and service follow-ups in the CRM system
Collaborate with parts and service teams to ensure the availability of necessary components for repairs and maintenance
Participate in industry events, trade shows, and training sessions to stay up to date with industry advancements
Experience and Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in marketing or business administration
One (1) or more years of aftermarket sales, service sales, or a related role in the heavy-duty equipment sector
Familiarity with generators, gaseous and diesel engines is an asset
Proven ability to develop and close sales, negotiate contracts and achieve sales targets
Ability to assess equipment service needs and recommend appropriate solutions
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A proactive approach to customer service and problem-solving
Previous experience with CRM and ERP software
Strong proficiency in MS Office programs, particularly with Excel and Word
Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as required
