SCOPE



Reporting to the Manager, Language Test Center, the incumbent is responsible for the daily processing of test candidates' applications, and financial transactions; also, the test centre's administrative functions. The incumbent serves as a front-line resource for candidates, staff and visitors, providing information on the test center offerings, policies and procedures.



PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES



o Respond to test taker inquiries via email, phone, and in person. Handle test takers' admissions, enrolment, registration, and withdrawal processes in the British Council, Paragon, Paris Ile-de-France CCI and FEI portals, ensuring compliance with admission requirements, application procedures, immigration policies, regulations, and guidelines.


o Process test takers financial account transactions in the SIS including collection of payments and issuing refunds. Assess and resolve financial student account issues that arise and implement appropriate solutions.


o Prepare correspondence and test taker requested documents, including additional test results form, enquiries on results and the like. Upload all pertinent documents.


o Prepare test materials, examiners record sheet, test takers' apportionment timetable, attendance registration. Order testing stock in numbers and in a manner prescribed by BC standards.


o Upload all test scores and coordinate the entry and verification of double marks with staff.


o Perform other duties as required in support of the operation of the Concordia Language Test Centre and undertake other responsibilities as required by the Manager, Language test Center.



QUALIFICATIONS



o Attestation of College Studies (ACS) two to four years of related experience.


o Good spoken and written English (level 4) and spoken French (level 3 able to respond to in-person and telephone requests for information).


o Good knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel (Intermediate level), very good data entry and electronic mail systems skills. Knowledge of Concordia University Student Information System and web-based applications an asset.


o Knowledge of the British Council Paragon, Paris Ile-de-France CCI and FEI platforms.


o Experience in working in a university environment an asset.


o Superior interpersonal and communication skills.


o Superior organizational skills and the ability to multitask; ability to work independently and in a team; client service orientation. Possess a high degree of cultural sensitivity is desirable.


o Ability to work extended hours throughout the year.


o Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.


o Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
