We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers needing vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring a positive service experience. Experience in dealership operations, mechanic background, or automotive repair is highly valued. The Service Advisor will coordinate service appointments, explain repair options, and upsell additional services to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership revenue.
Duties
Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival, establishing a welcoming environment.
Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues and service needs.
Provide detailed explanations of recommended repairs and maintenance services, utilizing mechanical knowledge when necessary.
Prepare work orders and communicate effectively with technicians regarding service requirements.
Upsell additional services or products that benefit the customer's vehicle health while aligning with their needs.
Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently.
Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
Maintain organized records of service visits, repairs performed, and customer interactions.
Assist in promoting dealership services through proactive communication and sales techniques.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a dealership or automotive service environment is preferred.
Mechanical knowledge or mechanic experience is highly advantageous for understanding vehicle repairs.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
Sales experience, particularly in upselling services or products to enhance customer value.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and record keeping.
