Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Serveuse/Serveur to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. As a key member of our front-of-house staff, you will play an integral role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Duties



Greet and seat guests promptly with a friendly demeanor. Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system, preferably Micros POS. Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials and recommendations, while upselling items to enhance guest satisfaction. Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining high standards of presentation. Monitor guest needs throughout their dining experience, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any concerns promptly. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing cash handling procedures. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring all items are prepared according to restaurant standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods.

Skills



Proven experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation procedures is essential. Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling. Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with both guests and team members.
