Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Serveur to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Serveur, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have an enjoyable dining experience while efficiently managing their orders and needs.

Duties

Greet and seat guests promptly, providing them with menus and information about daily specials. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, utilizing the POS system (Micros POS preferred) for order entry. Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring timely delivery and presentation. Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. Handle cash transactions and process payments through cashiering duties. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and service stations. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Provide excellent guest services by addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely order fulfillment.

Skills

Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, with a strong background in food service and hospitality. Proficient in using POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for efficient order processing. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Knowledge of food handling practices, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual responsibilities. Experience in upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and boost sales.
