What you'll do

Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel valued from the moment they arrive. Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, ensuring prompt service. Provide detailed menu descriptions and upsell specials to enhance the guest experience and drive sales. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing cash handling responsibilities. Assist in bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area to create an inviting atmosphere for guests. Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, fostering positive guest relations throughout their visit. Participate in ongoing training sessions to refine your skills in food service, culinary knowledge, and hospitality best practices.

Basic qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is essential. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables during busy shifts. Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling.

Preferred qualifications

Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus. Familiarity with fine dining service standards and culinary terminology enhances your ability to connect with guests. Previous host/host experience is beneficial for understanding guest flow dynamics.
