Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Host/Server to join our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in customer service and food handling, ensuring that guests feel welcomed and well-cared for throughout their visit. This role requires a blend of hospitality skills, culinary knowledge, and the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere. Take food and beverage orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems. Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, to enhance the guest experience. Upsell menu items and promote specials to maximize sales opportunities. Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of service. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns promptly. Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas. Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards during food preparation and service. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders. Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic math for processing payments.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable systems is a plus. Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations. Ability to manage time effectively in a busy setting while multitasking. Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage guests positively. Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing. Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices. Experience in fine dining or nightclub settings is desirable but not mandatory. Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
