We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Host/Server to join our team in a fast-paced, fine dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills and have a passion for providing an outstanding dining experience. This role involves welcoming guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that all guests feel valued and well cared for.

Duties

Greet and seat guests promptly with a warm and friendly demeanor. Take food and beverage orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems. Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, to enhance the guest experience. Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining guest satisfaction. Serve food and drinks efficiently while ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards. Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area. Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic math for processing payments. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure a positive dining experience. Maintain sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred, particularly in fine dining settings. Familiarity with OpenTable for reservations is a plus. Culinary experience or knowledge of food handling practices is beneficial. Strong time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks during busy shifts. Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest relations and customer service. Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing are essential. Experience in hospitality roles, including host/host duties, is advantageous.
