Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic weekend closing Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while efficiently managing food orders and transactions. You will play a crucial part in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable and satisfying.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and provide them with menus, explaining daily specials and answering any questions they may have. Take customer orders accurately using the POS system, ensuring that all requests are noted correctly. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Prepare and serve food items in accordance with health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen area. Process payments swiftly and accurately, handling cash and credit transactions with care. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized dining area, including clearing tables and restocking supplies as needed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery to customers. Manage time effectively to balance multiple tasks during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications

Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus; willingness to learn is essential. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Excellent time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Knowledge of food preparation techniques is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided. Valid Smart Serve is a must
