Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server/Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. This role involves both serving customers and handling cash transactions, making it essential for candidates to possess excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Duties

Greet and serve customers in a friendly and professional manner. Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system, specifically Micros POS. Prepare food items according to safety standards and restaurant guidelines. Handle cash transactions, process payments, and provide change as necessary. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, kitchen, and cashier station. Assist with food preparation and ensure all food handling practices comply with health regulations. Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders. Monitor inventory levels of supplies and communicate needs to management.

Qualifications

Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred, particularly in restaurant settings. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food safety standards is essential. Proficient in using POS systems, with experience in Micros POS being a plus. Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on creating a positive dining experience. Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Basic math skills for cash handling and processing transactions accurately. Knowledge of sanitation practices related to food handling and kitchen operations. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
