Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive seating assistance as a Host/Host if needed Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems s Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques like OpenTable reservations or specials Handle cash, credit card transactions, and POS operations with precision and accountability Maintain thorough knowledge of menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and dietary accommodations to assist guests confidently Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are adhered to during food handling, serving, bussing, and cleaning procedures Support food preparation tasks when necessary in collaboration with kitchen staff to ensure timely service Clear tables efficiently by bussing dishes promptly while maintaining cleanliness standards in dining areas Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns professionally, and ensuring overall satisfaction Assist with opening or closing duties such as setting up stations or cleaning work areas to uphold sanitation protocols Collaborate seamlessly with team members in a fast-paced environment typical of fine dining or nightclub settings

Qualifications

Previous restaurant experience or food service background preferred; experience in fine dining or nightlife venues is a plus Familiarity with POS systems, reservations and order management Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest experiences Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively in busy settings Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Ability to manage time efficiently while balancing multiple tables or tasks simultaneously Experience in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining guest satisfaction Culinary knowledge or kitchen experience is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or nights as needed in a vibrant hospitality environment
