Wickaninnish Inn Careers Join our Restaurant Team as a Bartender/Bar Server, where you have the opportunity to learn and grow in a Relais & Chateaux property also recognized as an AAA 4-Diamond Resort and T&L World\xe2\x80\x99s Best Hotel. Objectives:

  • Ensure efficient and personalized guest service meeting and exceeding Relais & Chateaux, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond and Forbes Standards
  • Prepare a wide range of cocktails, wine, beer, spirits and other beverages and adhere to guest special requests
  • Serve and describe food & beverages to The Pointe Restaurant standards; assist guests in selection of the appropriate wine or spirit to accompany the meal
  • Ensure all allergies and dietary requests are managed
  • Preparation of beverages for In-Room Dining orders
  • Use of Silverware Point of Sale system
  • Assist in the development of new recipes around a creative cocktail program
  • Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the Bar, preparation of On The Rocks Bar for ensuing shifts
  • Inventory control & ordering
  • Assist with Wine Cellar organization
  • Work in a team environment and assist in The Pointe Restaurant as required
  • Balance end of day financial transactions
  • Some duties may change due to COVID-19 operating regulations/standards
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a fast paced bar and fine dining or high-end restaurant setting
  • Thorough knowledge of food, wine, beer, cocktails, port, scotch and other spirits
  • An appreciation for detail and exceptional guest service
  • Professionalism and positive attitude
  • A calm, polite and composed demeanor
  • A desire to contribute exciting and innovative ideas towards the ongoing improvement of The Pointe Restaurant and the Wickaninnish Inn as a whole
  • Self-motivation in learning extensively about wines and spirits.
  • Valid Serving It Right Certification
  • Ability to maintain all COVID-19 operating regulations/standards
  • A mutual understanding of your employment duration will be determined during your interview
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
